Happy Monday friends! I hope your weekend was as great as you are! Here in South Carolina, Mother nature is back on the bottles again and drunk as ever!
Our temps this weekend were quite warm and our AC definitely was NOT working. But you know what? That is okay. I know there are some areas of this world that experience even higher temperatures and don’t even have an AC installed in the place they call home. No reason to complain at all, only to be grateful for what I do have. And there is a lot to be thankful for!
And just something as simple as choosing to be grateful for the things I do have and not focus on what, I don’t have, it keeps things in perspective and keeps me positive. So many times, when things become an inconvenience, its easy to jump ship and have a bad attitude about it. Sometimes it comes on subconsciously and before you know it, we have literally let something small ruin our whole day.
I don’t know about you, but I love each day that is gifted to me and I would rather not waste energy on being negative. But those times when we slip up…..*Sighs*
It happens. We don’t want it to, but it happens sometimes.
We need reminders to focus on and remember what’s true. To remember what’s good. To remember that life is truly a gift.
Words have power and to have inspiring and uplifting words all around me help me to stay positive. They inspire me on a rough morning or on a day when I feel like throwing in the towel. Color does the same. Pops of color remind me to be playful, fun, and happy.
My wish is that my paintings will do the same for you. Add a bit of happiness to your life or the life of someone you care about. To lift them up, to encourage them and to brighten their day.
There are lots of new paintings in the works and I can’t wait to share the NEWEST ones with you guys.
I have been adding more to my etsy store and I want to get out this year and actually do some craft shows!
I had my work in a local store and that was pretty fun, but the store closed down and I never put them into another. That may change soon!
