The past few days here have been on the cold side. Sometimes we forget what winter time is here since mother nature thinks that Summertime is year round! I have been knocking out some editing for some previous photo shoots so, my time outside has been limited – good thing! Well, if you didn’t know, I am a runner and cold weather normally does not bother me, but lately that wind chill has been making me feel like I want to knock someone out! Back to my statement about mother nature, due to that, I really don’t own proper winter clothing. I have been working from home too, so a lot of my stuff is short sleeved.
Tommy, my husband, got called into work yesterday – he is a Firefighter/Paramedic that gets to work near the beach, so on Monday he asked me to ride with him down there to pick up his gear. Sure, why not. It would be great to capture some beautiful images. After all it had been sunny and bright all day long. I grabbed a sweatshirt, threw on some tennis shoes with no socks, and grabbed my camera.
It really is not a quick ride to get there, but I was totally thinking it was going to be for some reason and that I could come back and jump back in to working and knock out the rest of my to-do list. On the way there, it starts to get a little dark and lots of cloud cover coming in. Why???? I make the best of it and hubby drives us around to show us this little cute area with a dock and ramp that is on the water. We get out the car and OH MY!! It is so windy, so cold, and my wardrobe does not go with what I am feeling!! I was able to grab a few images and then we left.
Tommy did drive us around the whole area looking at beautiful beach houses and Constance, our daughter says, “We should move out on the beach.” Well that would be a fabulous idea!! One day, that just might happen. Through hard work and dedication, we can make our dreams come true. Put God first and so much can happen!
Sometimes, when you want to take great pictures, it doesn’t always happen that way, but I did want to share them. But these are memories that we get to keep forever! I did try a new editing style to see how I liked it. 🙂
